Ferris Wheel


A Ferris wheel, Ferris wheel, around the world, travel to the moon, Ferris wheel, Ferris wheel or ferris wheel, is a fairground or park consisting attractions in a wheel upright with shelves, cabinets or single seats attached to the edge, operating rotating (by some mechanism or motor) around a horizontal axis perpendicular to the plane of the wheel. Often used to see the surrounding landscape or as fun.


The first attraction Ferris wheel was built for the Universal Exposition in Chicago in 1893, designed by engineer George Washington Ferris.1 had a height of 75 meters, less than half the largest Ferris wheel today, the Singapore Flyer, 165 meters. Other waterwheels world famous are the London Eye, in London, which appeared in one of the films of the saga of James Bond, or the amusement park Prater in Vienna, star of one of the most famous scenes from the film third man Carol Reed.
