Mario Brothers Collection Applique

Mario Brothers Collection Applique

Mario Bros. (Mario Brothers) is an arcade game developed by Nintendo in 1983. It was the third appearance of Mario, and the first that appears with its final name, as in Donkey Kong (1981) appeared under the pseudonym Jumpman ( 'Springer'). Mario Brothers are two plumbers; Mario and Luigi. The object of the game is to defeat all the enemies in each level. The two ends of each level have a mechanical feature that allows the player to exit on the left and appear to the right, and vice versa. The more levels cross Mario Brothers, the greater the difficulty and number of enemies that appear.

Like many other Nintendo games of the moment, Mario Bros. has a scoring system. Points can be obtained in several ways, either by collecting coins and defeating enemies. The player can earn points by defeating various enemies one after another, and then will participate in a bonus round that gives you the opportunity to gather more points.

Mario Bros. was created by Shigeru Miyamoto (1965) and Sato with a history Mitsuharo also created by Shigeru Miyamoto, leading developer of video game Donkey Kong. In Donkey Kong, Yokoi suggested to Miyamoto that should be able to fall from any height, something that Miyamoto was not sure, thinking it would be "uncharacteristic of a game." They agreed, thinking it would be nice for him to have some superhuman abilities. He designed a prototype in which Mario "jumping and bouncing", which made be satisfied. The element of the fight against the enemies below was introduced after Yokoi suggested it, noting that would be a lot of work since there were several floors. However, it proved to be too easy to eliminate enemies this way, so developers demanded players play (kick) enemies after hitting the platform under them to defeat them. This was also the way the turtle was presented as an enemy, which is conceived as a rival that could only be struck from below.1 Due to the emergence of Mario in Donkey Kong, a monkey, a hat and a thick mustache, Shigeru Miyamoto thought it must be a plumber instead of a carpenter, and designed this game to reflect eso.2 Another contributing factor was the scene of the game: it was a large network of giant pipes, so that considered that a change in occupation was necessary.
