Princess Peach (Formerly known as Princess Toadstool) is a character in the Mario video game franchise Nintendo and the oldest female character in video games. Originally created by Shigeru Miyamoto, Peach is the princess of the fictitious Mushroom Kingdom, which is constantly under attack by Bowser. Often he plays the damsel in distress in the series and is the main female character. It is often portrayed as Mario's love interest and has appeared in almost every Mario games to date, with the exception of Super Princess Peach, where he is the main character. He has also appeared in Mario Party franchise, Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. as a playable character.
